What others have said about Colby & Theresa...

Bill Noar

Today in Japan there is a wide open door of opportunity to proclaim the gospel and establish solid culturally relevant biblical churches. After over 150 years of Protestant missions in Japan the evangelical population is still only one half of one percent. Colby and Theresa Weinhofer have chosen to obey the Lord’s direction to serve in Japan. They desire to come and make an impact by equipping the leaders of the national church to reach their own people. I met them during a month of ministry in Japan during the summer of 2007. I was impressed by their desire to use their training and unique giftedness to serve the national church.

Being friends, and now a member of their partnership council, I have quickly recognized Colby and Theresa's burden to reach the Japanese people.  While working alongside them in various church ministries, I have witnessed their creativity, their willingness and ability to lead, and their teaching skills.  Their outlook on everything is always positive, and their focus in the tougher times remains on God and his strength and provision.  I believe Colby and Theresa would be an amazing influence within the Japanese culture and would do well in striving towards their call of sharing the love of Jesus Christ with the Japanese.

Having spent much time with the Weinhofer’s, I am convinced that God has called them to minister to the country of Japan. They have Japan on their hearts. They can’t wait to return to help indigenous pastors reach the lost around them. Both their hearts are in church planting and they are willing to stay in the background so that the church in Japan can have a Japanese face. Each of them possesses gifts that will help in this process. They are great helpers, teachers, givers, and leaders, among other gifts.
